Terms & Conditions

This page is a plain-language starting draft, not final legal copy. Please have a South African attorney review and finalise it — particularly the credit-industry and POPIA sections — before real applicants rely on it.

1. What ZarMoney is

ZarMoney is a lead-generation service, not a lender or a registered credit provider. We are not a bank. When you submit an application through this website, we collect your details and pass them to accredited lenders in our network so they can assess whether they're able to offer you a loan.

2. How the process works

We work with multiple lenders to find you options. Once you submit your application and supporting documents, we forward them to one or more lenders in our network. If a lender is interested, they will contact you directly with their offer, including their exact interest rates, fees, and repayment terms. ZarMoney does not set or negotiate these terms — they are entirely up to the lender, and subject to that lender's own affordability assessment and credit criteria.

3. Fees and commission

There is no cost to you to submit an application through ZarMoney. We may receive a commission from a lender if they approve your application — this does not affect the rates or fees a lender offers you.

4. No obligation

You are under no obligation to accept any offer made by a lender. Review the interest rate, fees, and repayment terms carefully, and only proceed if you're comfortable with them. Approval is never guaranteed — being blacklisted or having a difficult credit history does not automatically disqualify you, but it does not guarantee approval either.

5. Your information

By submitting the application form, you consent to ZarMoney sharing your details — including your ID number, contact details, employment information, and uploaded documents (ID copy, payslips, bank statements) — with one or more of our partner lenders for the purpose of evaluating your application. We treat your information as confidential and do not sell it or use it for purposes unrelated to matching you with a lender. Once a lender receives your application, they may perform their own credit checks, which could be recorded on your credit profile.

6. Responsible lending

We encourage you to borrow responsibly and only apply for an amount you are confident you can repay. If you're unsure whether a loan is right for you, consider speaking to a registered debt counsellor before applying.
